The Josh Palmer Fund is a 501 (c3) Non-Profit Charity designed to assist local cancer patients and their families with the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis and its treatments. The Fund was founded in 1999 by
the Palmer Family and members of the community. In 25 years, the Fund has evolved in its organizational partnerships and community outreach.
Throughout the calendar year, the JP Fund hosts one of the premier high school basketball tournaments on the east coast of the United States.
In addition, the Fund holds an Annual Golf Tournament in the fall, the 100 Inning Baseball Game in the Spring, WINK Gala in the fall and a 5K race in the Fall. The Fund also provides up to $5,000 per school year to graduating high school seniors through its scholarship program.
Our partnerships run deep in the Southern Tier, supporting Guthrie Cancer Center, Care First of the Southern Tier, and the Falck Cancer Center.
In our 25 year history, the Fund has provided nearly $1.5 Million in financial support to the community through these partnerships and direct patient funding. As we move into our next phase of the JP Fund, we are committed to our mission of financial support in our community.
