The Josh Palmer Fund is dedicated to providing direct financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. While research and treatment are essential in the fight against cancer, we know that the financial burden of a diagnosis can be just as overwhelming. That stress can affect patients and families socially, emotionally, and physically — and our mission is to help ease that burden when it matters most.
Our resources are raised through annual fundraising events, including the JP Fund Clarion Classic basketball tournament, the JP Fund Golf Tournament, the 100-Inning Baseball Game, the Pigskin Classic in partnership with Mansfield University and Cornell University, and many other community fundraisers. Funds are distributed to organizations such as the Falck Cancer Center, Guthrie Cancer Center, CareFirst Hospice, and Bampa's House to support patients in need.
We are also proud of our partnership with WINK, Women in Pink. WINK was founded by local women with a mission to provide financial support to women in our community who are facing cancer. Regardless of diagnosis, women are eligible to receive assistance through this meaningful partnership.
In addition to supporting cancer patients and families, the Josh Palmer Fund awards annual scholarships of up to $5,000 to graduating student-athletes from high schools in Chemung, Steuben, Schuyler, and Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
Help us continue this important work and exceed our goals today.
